There's always so much more to one's story than what makes sense to share or what fits on a page. Because of that, I have opted to leave out the parts about doodling like crazy all my life, making coordinating stationery as a kid for my friends, spending hours on end at fabric stores as a child with my talented Mom & Grandma, handsewing halter tops for 4-H, watching my sister effortlessly create art of any kind to my complete amazement, finding creative ways to use my hands & time when my son was born 13 years ago ... and lots of other inspirations, influences & experiences that I won't get into.

Instead, I will tell you that with an ardent passion for pattern, texture, line & form, I have been creating surface designs for more than 10 years. As a self-taught artist, my curiosity for trying new materials as well as my desire to master techniques allowed me to design, construct, paint and/or stitch any idea I could conceive.

In 2005, I designed and digitally printed fabrics as a means of differentiating a line of handmade handbags. The fabric stole the show and quickly became my primary focus. In 2009, I extended my fiery personal philosophies for ecofriendly living to my business and began self-producing organic fabrics.

I am so thrilled to be able to combine my love of pattern & 'making' with my desire for a greener planet - contributing meaningfully to something that is so much bigger than me is incredibly gratifying.

I now have 2 wholesale organic collections under my belt: Geo Grand and Shades of Grey. My 3rd collection is due out in Sept/Oct 2011. With each new group, I am always beyond excited to see how these fabrics are used by others!

About the Designs

My original designs represent a mix of favorites: bold colors, abstract layers and dramatic geometrics - all blended and balanced to create fresh & dynamic patterns. My 'fusion' style pulls from many varied inspirations and décor styles to create a certain energized but harmonious look.

Basically, I start with original artwork from my sketchbook - from there it is tweaked, worked, re-worked, worked, re-worked, colored and polished with a fine shammy. Sometimes I hit the design right away; other times, I have to walk away for a week and revisit it with a fresh eye to see if it works.

I love, love, love what I do - and I try to bring that sense of passion and joie de vivre to all my designs! Enjoy.
